Welcome Home (2020)

Welcome Home is an Indian, Hindi language thriller movie that premiered on SonyLiv. The film has been directed by Pushkar Mahabal and stars Kashmira Irani, Swarda Thigale, Shashi Bhushan, Boloram Das, Tina Bhatia and Akshita Arora in the lead roles. The film centres around 2 government school teachers who in the course of their census duty end up at a house in the middle of nowhere. Taken hostage by a psychotic family, they must do all in their power to survive.

The film received mainly positive reviews. Avinash Ramachandran of The Indian Express summarised it as "A solid chamber drama and an affecting comment on patriarchy." The Times of India rated it 3.5 stars out of 5 and summarised it as a "riveting Crime Thriller" praising the performances.
